Video: Bing Maps at TED

Courtesy of slashdot, I found this video from TED showing a demo by Blaise Agüera y Arcas of new mapping capabilities that Microsoft is adding to its Bing on-line maps.  I’m not what you’d call a big fan of Microsoft and their attempts to dominate the PC and on-line worlds, but this effort looks to be topping Google in a big way.  It will be interesting to see how it works out in broad distribution.

The video* is about eight minutes, but it’s not a boring talk at all:

  1. I get sucked into those damn TED videos and the next thing I know a day or two has passed.
