We get a “free” newspaper of sorts targeting rural residents called “Country Asides”. It’s only a couple pages of newsprint and usually contains uninteresting articles, community news and notices and a short “funny” attributed to “Author Unknown”. It’s always stuffed full with flyers from area big box stores too.

My lazy blogging for today is last week’s “funny” entitled:

Did you know? Did you care?

  • Babies are born without kneecaps. They don’t appear until they are two to six years old.
  • The average person over 50 will have spent 5 years waiting in line.
  • The toothbrush was invented in 1498.
  • The average housefly lives for one month.
  • 40,000 Americans are injured by toilets each year.
  • A coat hanger is 44 inches long when straightened.
  • The average computer user blinks seven times a minute.
  • Your feet are bigger in the afternoon than any other time of day.

And best of all…

  • Most of us have eaten a spider in our sleep.

  1. no way. not true. unh uh… NO SPIDERS… can’t possibly be… AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

  2. Ditto Daisy Fae. Spiders have their place, but not in my tummy.
